Enable others to follow you
|
If you are on the go and you own an iPhone or an Android based phone, you can ask anyone to ESCORemoTe you by letting the other side see your exact location at any given moment, as long as you explicitly choose to enable tracking yourself.
Please follow these instructions to start using ESCORemoTe on your mobile phone:
- Bookmark http://i-track-me.com/escoremote and possibly store a link on your home screen, for quick access in the future.
- Once you are at the Login screen, enter a display name and optionally a display message. These will be shown to people that you will allow to follow you.
- Select a map type to use - currently only two maps are available, but in the future, more maps from different providers will be added.
- Tap the Enter button.
- After few seconds you will see a screen with the following information:
- Your Session ID - A number allocated by the system to your session
- Your Session Password - A password generated by the system.
- Your tracking status.
- In order to allow others to follow you, you first need to enable the system track your location. After login, you should see a button on the screen that reads "Enable Tracking My Location". If this button does not show, it means that your GPS/Location Services are not active or not available. In that case, try reactivating your phone Location Services and start again.
- Once you enabled tracking your location, you will see a button that enables you to "Send ESCORequesT". If you tap this button, the system will show you the MAIL application. You may enter one or more email addresses. The email that is sent contains a link to ESCORemoTe web site with your Session ID and your Session Password. The recipient(s) of your email will be able to click on that link and start seeing your location on the map.
- The Session ID and Password are valid only for the current session and they expire about ten minutes after you close the application. This means that anyone who receives your email, can follow you only as long as your application is active. If you close your application and open it again after 10 minutes or more, you will be required to send an email request again in order to enable other(s) to follow you.
- If you do not want to be followed anymore, you can close your application or you can tap the "Disable Tracking My Location" button

Following Others
|
If you are at home or at the office or you are on the go with your mobile phone, you can use your internet browser to follow/track/guide anyone that asks your help and provides you with the correct Session ID and Session Password. Please follow these instruction to start following others:
- If you received an ESCORemoTe Request through email, just click the link and you will be prompted to enter your Display Name and optionally a Display Message. These will enable the other side to identify you as a follower. You should choose a map to use, the map defaults to Google Maps.
- Once you are logged in, you will see a map with a
icon indicating the location of the other person you are following.
- If you want to follow someone else but did not receive an ESCORemoTe Request by mail, you can still follow the other side. For that you will be required to enter the other side’s Session ID and Session Passwords. These detailed must be obtained directly from the other side, probably by calling the other side and asking for these details. Once you have these details:
- Tap the “Follow Other” Button.
- Enter the Other Session ID and Other Session Password.
- Tap the “Start Following Other” button.
- You will be shown a map with the other side represented as
icon .
- To follow more than one person, use the “Follow Other” button and enter the details for the others.
- When following more than one person, you will see multiple
icons and a single
icon. The
icon represents the one in FOCUS, this means that the map will always center on that icon.
- In order to switch the FOCUS to a different person, click the relevant icon and on the screen select FOCUS, now the selected icon will change to
.
- To stop following someone, tap the relevant icon and select “Stop Following”, the icon will disappear from the map.

Your privacy is most important.
- No need to provide any kind of ID.
- No Email address.
- NO Registration.
- No Information is kept - all data is temporary.
- None of your private information is used nor sent to the ESCORemoTe server.
- All IDs and passwords are automatically generated and are discarded after you finish using the system (about 10 minutes after your last activity).
- When sending ESCORequesT (request for guidance), the email is sent directly from your phone and not through ESCRemoTe Server, so your address book is not exposed and the receiver sees you as the sender.
